Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotes, orders, installations and after-sales services provided by Rural Windows (Nythfa, Aston Hill, Ewloe, CH5 3AH — "we", "us", "our"). By instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

1. Quotations

• Quotes are prepared following a free home survey.
• Composite door quotes are typically issued within 24 hours of survey.
• Window and other product quotes are typically issued within around 3 working days.
• Quotes remain valid for the period stated on the quotation.
• Quotes are based on the measurements, specification and site conditions observed at survey.

2. Orders and deposits

• A 30% deposit is payable to confirm an order and begin manufacturing.
• The remaining balance is due on completion of the installation.
• We accept bank transfer, cash and cheque.
• Bespoke items are made to your specification and cannot be cancelled once manufacture has started.

3. Lead times

• Standard windows and doors: typically fitted around 3 weeks after order.
• Composite doors from stock: typically 7–10 days.
• Bespoke items: typically 4–5 weeks.
• Lead times are estimates and may vary due to manufacturer supply or site factors outside our control.

4. Installation

• Installations are carried out by our in-house team — we do not subcontract.
• You are responsible for providing safe, reasonable access to the property.
• We take reasonable care of your property but cannot be liable for pre-existing damage, defects or unforeseen structural issues revealed during the works.
• Where minor making-good is required internally (e.g. plaster reveals), this is discussed at survey. Redecoration is not included unless expressly agreed in writing.

5. Guarantees

• 10 years on frames.
• 5 years on sealed double- and triple-glazed units.
• 1 year on ironmongery (handles, hinges and locking mechanisms).
• Every installation is backed by an Insurance-Backed Guarantee provided via Assure.
• Guarantees cover the products supplied as set out above. They do not cover accidental damage, misuse, forced entry or normal wear.

6. Building Regulations

Rural Windows is registered with Assure (Reg No. 1094). Applicable installations are lodged with Assure so that Building Regulations compliance certification is issued to you.

7. Insurance

We carry £5 million public liability insurance covering our installation activities.

8. Cancellation

Consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply where relevant. Made-to-measure and bespoke products cannot be cancelled once manufacture has started. Any cancellation request should be made in writing to enquiries@ruralwindows.co.uk.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our liability in respect of any installation is limited to the value of that installation.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
